To Our Valued Clients,
I would like to personally thank you for your continued business and referrals despite these challenging economic times. Your support has allowed Spire Integrated Systems to continue our tradition of giving back to the community.
In 2007, we founded a program called Spire’s Movie Rooms For Kids, donating our first room to the DMC Children’s Hospital in Detroit. This year, Beaumont Children’s Hospital in Royal Oak received a fully-integrated movie room system that will allow kids and their families to enjoy a state-of-the-art home theater experience. My hope is that these contributions will provide some comfort and normalcy to the lives of hospitalized children. We are planning our next project for 2011 at the University of Michigan Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor.
I would like to thank some of our generous vendors who helped provide equipment for the projects. Thanks to Monitor Audio for the amazing speaker system, Integra for the wonderful electronics and AMX for the sophisticated control system. I would also like to say thank you to the client who donated the Stewart screen and to my wife, Dr. Betty Chu, who donated the Vidikron projector. And finally, special thanks to all of my employees for the great install and unique touchscreen interface (see example of the touch panel).
I appreciate your confidence in Spire Integrated Systems and I am committed to helping improve our community.
Sincerely,
Navot Shoresh
President
Spire Integrated Systems, Inc.

For the high-def enthusiast, Blu-Ray’s 1080p picture quality is the rage. But still in its infancy, is it worth the hefty price? The good news, is if you hold off for a few months, Blu-Ray will become more affordable, as well as more seasoned in technology. Therefore, this holiday gift giving season should be a breeze.
Coming Attractions:
By 2009, Blu-Ray discs are expected to at least double the number of releases.

By now, we all know, the transition to Digital TV is fast approaching. As of February 17, 2009, all broadcasting will be exclusively in digital format. This transition from analog signals to digital will transform the viewing experience to a whole new, enlightening level .
For the most part, if you’re a Spire client, this change will not effect you. However, if you receive free over-the-air television signals through antennas or analog TVs, or do not subscribe to cable, satellite, or telephone company TV service, then you need to prepare.
Here are some options:
- Connect analog TV to a cable, satellite, or phone company video service.
- Purchase a new TV with built-in digital tuner.
- Purchase a digital TV converter box (the federal government is offering coupons towards the purchase of eligible converter boxes).

With so much competition in the Audio/Video arena, Spire Integrated Systems L.L.C. is honored to be recognized as the best in Detroit by the Detroit Home Design Awards.
Spire designed the winning theater for the ultimate in comfort, convenience and quality. The theater is located on the main floor to allow everyday use. Because of the location, there was an emphasis on acoustical treatments to help contain the sound, without sacrificing the quality of the movie viewing experience. The acoustical treatments were integrated seamlessly with the custom woodwork so the room is visually stunning even before the movie begins. Motorized drapes and shades were added to enhance the aesthetics of the room, while providing the necessary darkness for viewing pleasure. Leather seats were custom ordered to allow the integration of an AMX touch panel into the arm rest. The touch panel is designed with custom graphics to compliment the decor, while providing the ultimate in ease of use. The room was such a success, the homeowners now considers this room their main viewing area, and not just simply a home theater.
In this year’s competition, winners were selected in 51 categories, by a panel of nine expert judges. This competition marks the fourth year for the prestigious Detroit Howe Awards.

The theater system Spire Integrated Systems donated to Detroit Children’s Hospital in 2007, is screening lots of smiles.
Movie night at the hospital has been a huge hit amongst the children receiving treatment at the hospital and there families. The theater like setting provides a wonderful opportunity for friends and families to share time together as they laugh and escape from the everyday environment of the hospital.
In honor of Spire’s wonderful gift to the hospital, the children have officially named movie night, “Spire Movie Night”! And according to the hospital’s Child Life Specialists, the children very much look forward to getting an actual ticket to attend the exciting monthly features.

For long-distance (Guest houses, Cabana, etc.) communications and to support ample networking bandwidth, Spire Integrated Systems utilizes Fiber-Optics for efficiency and reliability. Unlike traditional wiring, Fiber-Optics are non-electrical, flexible and can be bundled as cables. It’s ideal for transporting massive amounts of data, quickly. Additionally, Fiber-Optics are immune to electrical interference, which prevents cross-talk between signals in different cables and pickup of environmental noise.
To ensure your system is meeting the needs of the future, Spire Integrated Systems is dedicated to providing you with the most up-to-date foundation. We are constantly doing research so that our systems of today, are operating for all the tomorrows.

With the constant evolution of technology, does anyone really know? Perhaps not, but Spire Integrated Systems is thinking ahead of the game by wiring most of our systems with conduit. Conduit is an electrical piping system that simplifies the wiring process so that the wiring can be easily upgraded due to technological advancements, or to easily add-on to existing wiring. Varying numbers, sizes, and types of conductors can be pulled into a conduit, which simplifies design and construction compared to multiple runs of cables, or the expense of customized composite cable. Wiring changes are made simpler and safer through the use of conduit, as existing conductors can be withdrawn and new conductors installed, with little disruption along the path of the conduit.
