By now, we all know, the transition to Digital TV is fast approaching. As of February 17, 2009, all broadcasting will be exclusively in digital format. This transition from analog signals to digital will transform the viewing experience to a whole new, enlightening level .

For the most part, if you’re a Spire client, this change will not effect you. However, if you receive free over-the-air television signals through antennas or analog TVs, or do not subscribe to cable, satellite, or telephone company TV service, then you need to prepare.

Here are some options:

• Connect analog TV to a cable, satellite, or phone company video service.
• Purchase a new TV with built-in digital tuner.
• Purchase a digital TV converter box (the federal government is offering coupons towards the purchase of eligible converter boxes).
